Jonathan Kitto

Jonathan has been involved with the texturing and drywall business for 15 years. His drive and ambition has led him to opening his own business 'Artex Texturing Limited' in 2012. Jonathan is proud to govern a business that continuously provides the highest quality of workmanship in the industry. Jonathan believes in being the personality behind the business engaging in all roles, all while prioritizing everyone's success. Jonathan believes that the company "is" your employees. By having three friends as his main guys, work is always done diligently while being accompanied by those you trust.

Lead Texture Technician

Chris Swinimer

Chris is one of the first employees that started in Artex Texturing. Chris moved here from Nova Scotia with some general construction experience.  Starting off as a 3rd guy on Jonathan's truck, Jonathan had a good vibe about Chris. Chris was super quiet, never said much but soaked up everything that Jonathan would say to him. Jonathan noticed that Chris had an extreme attention to detail, everything that he touched was done exactly as taught and never took any short cuts. Chris was driven to learn, within 2 years Chris was spraying all types of texture which then lead him to running his own truck. Chris slowly started to develop into a leader, being able to take on any job and figuring out the best most efficient ways to complete the work. Chris has been a huge part of Artex texturing growth and understands the fundamentals of the business which is quality and customer service. 

Lead Texture Technician

Andrew Burrell

Andrew came to Artex Texturing through Chris, a childhood friend from Bear River Nova Scotia. Andrew moved to Calgary with his girlfriend who he had met through Culinary Art School. Andrew prior to joining Artex Texturing was working at a high end restaurant 'The Kensington Inn'. Most people take cooking as a chore where as for Andrew, it is his passion. Although he loved what he was doing, being a chef wasn't allowing him to achieve his goals. Chris mentioned to Andrew that Artex was a growing company and that there was employment opportunity, Andrew decided to try it. From the beginning Andrew strived to not be on the bottom of the totem pole, challenging himself to be just as good, if not better than the other guys. Andrew was always keen on trying to expand his knowledge and learning everything that was presented to him. Andrew's dedication to making sure everything is completed throughout the day has made him a focal point at Artex Texturing.

2nd Texture Technician

Chris Lupton

Well if you haven't already guessed, Chris Lupton comes from Nova Scotia as well. Another friend of our lead technician Chris S, which we will soon make him our HR representative at this rate. Lupton was working in Lloyd Minister when he spoke to Chris about joining Artex Texturing. Jonathan trusted Chris about Lupton and was appealed by the idea of having friends work together that liked the job. Immediately everyone took a liking to Lupton, meeting someone who is as witty as Lupton is near impossible and made working with him a joy. No matter how hard of a day was presented, Lupton would always be around to lift your spirits with his words while impressing you with the work he had completed. Lupton has grown into the 2nd man on the truck and is slowly preparing to become another lead technician. Lupton's hard work ethic and personality make him an asset to any employer.
